Description
The Leisure E30 arrived securely packaged in foam-like padding and a cardboard box. The projector is 3.5 inches high, 9.4 inches wide, and 8.5 inches deep. This rectangular-shaped device is white-colored with gray accents. A circular control panel and power button can be accessed from the top. The lens and an infrared port intended for use with the remote are located at the front. An AV input, 3.5mm audio output, two HDMI ports, one USB port, a TF slot, and the outgoing air vent are positioned on the projector’s righthand side. The lefthand side accommodates the air intake and focus ring. The power cable connects to the back of the projector. It shares this space with the speaker grill and a second infrared port. Accommodations to mount the Leisure E30 from the ceiling and a height adjustment screw are positioned at the projector’s base. This WiFi-capable device utilizes an LED to provide an LCD image. Native resolution is 1920x1080P, and the projector boasts a contrast ratio of 10000:1. The Leisure E30, when placed 10.75 feet from its screen, will project a 100-inch image. The package includes an HDMI cable, remote control, power cord, lens cover, cleaning kit, and user manual.

Resolution
Native resolution refers to the projector’s fixed horizontal and vertical pixel count. The supported resolution indicates the resolution of an input that can be accepted. The Leisure E30 has a native resolution of 1920x1080P. This is also referred to as Full High Definition. This projector supports resolutions of 1080p, 1080i, 720p, and 576i. The picture quality you see on the screen is partially determined by the media being played. A movie streamed at 1024 x768p is projected at the same resolution.
Brightness
The brightness of projectors is usually calculated in ANSI lumens. The Leisure E30 is capable of outputting 220 ANSI lumens. This is sufficient for operations in low light conditions.
Contrast
Contrast refers to the ratio of the light reflected from a completely white image and a completely black image. The higher the contrast ratio, the more detail you can see on the screen. This projector’s contrast ratio is 10000:1, which means a projected white image is 10000 times as bright as a black image. Considering the Leisure E30’s price range, this contrast ratio is excellent. Keystone Correction
The keystone effect is the apparent distortion of an image caused by projecting it onto an angled surface. The best method to deal with this problem is to ensure the projector is pointed as directly at its screen as possible. Shillington The Leisure E30 is equipped with a 4-point keystone correction system which can adjust distortion by ±50 degrees digitally via the internal LCD panels of the projector. When applying keystone correction to an image, the number of individual pixels used is reduced, slightly degrading the projected image quality. This technique, while effective, should be used in moderation.
Projected Image Test
In the middle of a cloudy summer day, I switched off the interior lights, closed my heavy drapes, turned on the projector, and started to stream a movie. The image was noticeably faded, but the movie could be enjoyably watched. Shillington I tried again a few minutes before sunset. The image was much brighter. Once the sun dropped behind the horizon, I repeated my experiment. The projected image was as bright as would be expected inside a theater. The contrast of the Leisure E30 is quite good. However, I noticed that it was sometimes difficult to differentiate between the shades of gray in extremely dark scenes.
The Gaming Test
I set up the projector and used the on-screen menu to switch its input to Miracast. I had previously configured the Leisure 30’s WiFi. Shillington The next step was to use Google Play to download and install a mirroring program to my smartphone. In this case, I chose a free application called Cast to TV. Using this application, I quickly connected the two devices. The Leisure 30 was now projecting a duplicate of my smartphone’s screen. I then started a game called Fortnite. The image was crisp and clear, and the action appeared simultaneously on both the smartphone and screen. Playing on a 100-inch screen is much more fun than on a 6.8-inch display! The sound emitted from the Leisure E30’s 3W speaker was also far superior to those fitted to the smartphone. However, I improved the experience even further by connecting my 90W party speaker.
Sound and Noise Level
This device is equipped with a 3-watt speaker, which provides decent sound. Usually, however, I connect my 90W external speaker to the headphone output of the projector. The powerful speaker creates a more theater-like atmosphere in my large dining room. Media Source
This device functions well with either a Fire TV or my Roku stick attached. Once I turn on the projector and connect it to the proper input, I can use my Bluetooth Roku remote to select and stream the movie or TV show I wish to watch.
Ceiling Mount
A device of this type allows you to mount your projector in a stable position overhead. Once it is set up correctly, the projector’s focus and keystone correction should not require further adjustment. A mount of this type is highly recommended. Shillington
Projector Screen
I own a 100-inch pull-down screen. When comparing the screen to the light blue backdrop of my wall, there was little change in the projected image’s sharpness. Colors, however, were slightly brighter, and the screen professionally framed the image. A projector screen is a worthwhile investment, but a media stick or a ceiling mount provides greater value if money is tight.
Overall Impression
While not appropriate for use in daylight, the Leisure E30 projects a bright and well-focused image in low light environments. This device is equipped with WiFi and Miracast, allowing it to mirror movies and games from a smartphone. The projector’s native resolution is excellent, and the contrast is good. I especially liked this projector’s powerful and easy-to-use keystone correction. The Vankyo Leisure E30 Projector is recommended.
